My approach
My intention is to work with the person in front of me to get to know your need for this space. The format that is in is your choice (face to face, video call or over the phone, all of which I am experienced with, and all effective).
I work in an integrative way, combining psychotherapeutic methods from person-centred, solution-focused, CBT, internal family systems, existential, and the list grows all the time as I continue to develop my knowledge. This means I am able to create a unique space for you using my knowledge and experience to support you where you are.
A little about me
I have worked in psychotherapy, counselling and therapy for over 10 years. Over time I have worked with survivors of abuse, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationships, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, trauma and many others. I work with couples and groups, as well as individuals.
I have an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice from Bath Spa University and a BSc (Hons) Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Derby. I am also BACP Accredited.
I am studying for a professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy (DPsych) with the Metanoia Institute, London, with my research focusing on women with chronic conditions and the emotional relationship they have with their own bodies. I also qualified as a Hypnotherapist in 2015, having trained at the London College of Hypnotherapy.

Women’s Issues
As women, we have different gender unique issues to face than men. This means we need a space available to feel there understanding of the struggle with chronic illness, fertility, autoimmune disease, menopause etc that is open for us to lean into. That is what I strive to provide for my female clients, with a personal understanding of many of the issues myself, creating a depth of empathy.
Bereavement, loss & illness
All of these parts of life are some of the hardest to handle and figure out, although they are an unfortunate inevitable. Talking through the emotion and feelings allows us to find a little space to process what has happened, and to find a way to face the new reality we are facing.
Depression, anxiety & stress
Life throws us curveballs, and we try to cope… whether that is through busyness and overloading ourselves, or getting caught up in thoughts that control us from the past or worries about the future. Having guidance to work these things through means that it doesn’t have to feel so consuming.
